The Plains Folk Map of the Great Plains

This is the infamous map that appeared in the introductions to the books Plains Folk and Plains Folk II.

The original was drawn for us by geographer Bill Phillips of Emporia State University. Later it was reincarnated as a GIF file by Deb Tanner, of NDSU Extension.

These people are not to blame for where the lines lie, however! And Jim and Tom aren't much interested in haggling over the lines, either. As we say on our home page, we're more interested in the parameters than the perimeters.
